SCLEADS Educational Summer Program Event
July 27 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
The South Carolina Leadership Education and Advocacy Development for Students (SC LEADS) program in the Midlands, funded by SC Vocational Rehabilitation, is offering an exciting new opportunity for rising 9th graders and their parents in the Midlands and surrounding areas to participate in a *FREE* educational summer program event on July 27th. The topic will be learning and training on self-advocacy skills, IEP development, goal setting, and transitioning to high school — with guest speakers from SC Voc Rehab, Family Connections, and ABLE SC. Prizes will be given away, including backpacks filled with school supplies!
This program is for rising 9th graders with disabilities of all kinds; the summer event and SC LEADS curriculum is open to any and all who want to learn.
